Gangwon Golfer Waiting for Kyochon 1991 Ladies Open

Gangwon golfers are on their third trophy hunt of the season.

The 7th tournament of the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour season, ‘The 9th Kyochon 1991 Ladies Open (total prize money of 800 million won)’ will be held at Asiad Country Club (par 72) located in Gijang-gun, Busan for three days from the 5th. Park Ji-young (27, Korea Real Estate Trust), who won the ‘Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open’, and Lee Da-yeon (26, Mediheal, Lee Sang-won, from Wonju), who won the ‘Chris F&C 45th KLPGA Championship’ Attention is focusing on whether the fourth winner from Gangwon-do will emerge.

Park Ji-young, who is running at the top of the prize money ranking, is challenging for multiple wins. Park Ji-young suffered a poor performance after missing the cut at the KLPGA Championship, her first major event of the season, her previous tournament. While she has no player to record multiple wins this season, Park Ji-young is determined to make up for the sluggishness of her last tournament by becoming her first multi-winner of the season.

Kim Min-byeol (19, Hite Jinro) from Chuncheon, ‘the morning star of Gangwon golf’, is also expected to play an active role. Although tied for 28th at the KLPGA Championship, Kim Min-byeol is doing well enough to enter the top 10 three times in the five tournaments she has participated in this season. Currently, she is running first in the Rookie of the Year points (564 points), so expectations for her first win in her life are rising.ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Lim Hee-jung (23, Doosan E&C) from Taebaek, the most popular star on the tour, will also try to win the first championship of the season. Lim Hee-jung’s highest ranking this season is a tie for 5th place, but considering Lim Hee-jung’s name value, it is a disappointing result. She also tied for 54th at the KLPGA Championship. Lim Hee-jung is determined to restore her honor through this tournament.

In addition to them, Han Jin-seon (26, Kakao VX) from Sokcho, who tied for 13th, the highest ranking this season, at the KLPGA Championship, and Hana Jang (31) from Chuncheon, who won 15 tour victories, will also challenge for the title. Lee Da-yeon, who won the KLPGA Championship, will not be participating in this tournament.
