The Canadian Embassy in Korea announced on the 13th, “On the morning of the 12th, the Canadian Embassy in Seoul held an appointment ceremony for Yuna Kim as an honorary ambassador.” It was held as part of commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Canada.

According to the embassy, ​​Yuna Kim said, “Canada is a place where she has a deep personal connection. It is also where she trained for a long time as an athlete, and it is also where she won her Olympic gold medal.”

Kim Yu-na became her figure skating queen in February 2010, when she won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She also trained in Toronto, Canada’s largest city, where she spent three years prior to the Olympics.

Canada is the place where Yuna Kim ate, slept, and cried during her prime as an athlete.
