Choosing Lawyers in Hong Kong
Solicitors in Hong Kong are regulated by the Law Society of Hong Kong, which publishes The Law List as a public practising-certificate check, and barristers by the Hong Kong Bar Association. Only a solicitor with a current practising certificate may advise on Hong Kong law and act for you in most matters.
Confirm the individual — not just the firm — on The Law List, and match the practice area to your matter (corporate, disputes, employment and IP are distinct specialisms). Routine incorporation is far better value through a licensed TCSP; reserve a law firm for matters that actually need a solicitor's judgement.
