Choosing Virtual Office in Hong Kong

Every Hong Kong company must keep a registered office in Hong Kong to which official notices can be sent — a legal requirement, which is why virtual-office services are common. There is no licence for the address itself, so the test is practical: does it genuinely function as your statutory registered office, and are Inland Revenue and Companies Registry notices — which run to deadlines — scanned or forwarded promptly.

Note that the company-secretary and registered-address bundle a provider sells usually involves TCSP-licensed work, so it is reasonable to ask for that licence too. Confirm banks accept the address, as some decline well-known mail-forwarding ones.

Regulator: Not a licensed profession; registered address must satisfy Companies Registry rules. Official source. Checked 19 July 2026.
