Choosing Visa Consultants in Singapore
Work passes and residence in Singapore are decided by the Ministry of Manpower (Employment Pass, S Pass) and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (PR, long-term passes). Crucially, the ICA states on its own site that it does not regulate or endorse immigration consultants — so there is no accreditation to check, and any claim of being “government accredited” should be treated with caution.
Judge a consultant on track record with your specific pass type and honesty about eligibility (Employment Pass has a published salary threshold and a points assessment), not on badges. Be sceptical of guaranteed approval or fixed timelines: MOM and ICA control both, and a consultant can only prepare and submit a strong application.
