Choosing Virtual Office in Singapore
A Singapore company must have a local registered office address that is open to the public for at least three hours on each business day — a legal requirement, not a convenience, and the reason virtual-office services are common here. The service itself is not a licensed profession, so what matters is whether the address genuinely satisfies that rule and whether official mail is handled reliably.
Before signing, confirm the address may be used as your registered office with ACRA (not merely a mailbox), how registry, tax-authority (IRAS) and any court mail is scanned or forwarded and how fast, and whether banks accept the address — some decline applications using well-known mail-forwarding addresses. Any registered office is on the public record via Bizfile.
Regulator: Not a licensed profession; registered-address use governed by ACRA rules. Official source. Checked 19 July 2026.
