How this is regulated in Singapore
Corporate service providers must be registered with ACRA under the Corporate Service Providers Act 2024, which came into force in June 2025. Registered providers must have a registered qualified individual, making this one of the stronger credential checks available.
Singapore companies are registered with ACRA and are searchable on the Bizfile portal.
What to check before you engage a firm
- Ask what happens after incorporation. The registry filing is the easy part; the ongoing annual obligations are where cost and risk sit.
- Get the total first-year cost in writing, including registry fees, registered address, and any mandatory local officer or agent.
