Choosing Formation Agents in Singapore
Incorporating in Singapore is fast, but who you let file for you now carries a real credential. Since June 2025 the Corporate Service Providers Act 2024 requires any firm that registers a company or acts as its filing agent to be registered with ACRA and to have a registered qualified individual. That makes “are you an ACRA-registered filing agent?” the single most useful question you can ask a Singapore formation firm.
Two Singapore-specific points shape the choice: every company needs at least one locally resident director, so a foreign founder often needs a nominee-director service (check its terms carefully), and most companies must file financial statements in XBRL format. Compare firms on whether the quoted price includes the resident-director arrangement, the registered address, and first-year secretarial and XBRL filing, or bills them separately. You can verify any incorporated company on Bizfile.
