Choosing Tax Advisors in UAE (Dubai)

The UAE is one of the few markets with a formal tax-agent regime. The Federal Tax Authority maintains a public register of approved Tax Agents, and registration requires an examination, relevant experience and professional indemnity insurance — so "registered FTA tax agent" is a check you can actually make.

The questions that matter for a business here: does the adviser handle both corporate tax (9% over AED 375,000, plus the 15% domestic minimum top-up tax for large multinational groups from 2025) and VAT; do they understand the free-zone "qualifying income" rules that can keep a free-zone company at 0%; and are they cautious about promising an effective rate before seeing your figures. Verify tax positions against the FTA corporate tax pages.
